On November 4, the Ministry of Health and Welfare stated that they are considering to prevent female celebrities photos used for liquor endorsement.
"Cigarettes have photos of cancer surgery to warn of adverse health effects, so at the very least, it should be prohibited to put a celebrity's photo on a liquor container" stated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
The past years, liquor products showcased the following celebrities as endorsers: IU, Suzy, Irene, Sejeong and Naeun. Because of this, we may not see them in future materials of liquor brands.
